Directions to the Museum
The Museum is located at One Burnside Street, at the corner of Hope Street (Route 114) and Burnside Street in Bristol, Rhode Island, 0.5 miles south of the center of Bristol and 1.5 miles north of the Mount Hope Bridge. The Museum is a 25-minute drive from Providence, Newport, or Fall River.
From the North (Boston): take Route 24 south to RI Exit 2 (Mt. Hope Bridge/RWU). Take a right off exit onto Boyds Lane. Follow north to Mount Hope Bridge. After crossing the bridge, take the left fork onto Ferry Road (Route 114); this becomes Hope Street (still Route 114). After the "Lobster Pot Restaurant," a short way further, note the Museum's 100-foot flag pole on the waterfront; turn right onto Burnside Street.
From the North (Providence): Take Route 195 east to Exit 7 (Barrington/Rte 114). Follow Route 114 south through Barrington, Warren and the center of Bristol. When Hope Street (Route 114) becomes adjacent to Bristol Harbor, note the Museum's 100-foot flagpole on the waterfront; turn left onto Burnside Street.
From the South: Drive north via Route 138 or 114 to the Mount Hope Bridge (linking Aquidneck Island with Bristol, RI). After crossing the bridge, take the left fork onto Ferry Road (Route 114); this becomes Hope Street (still Route 114). After the "Lobster Pot Restaurant," a short way further, note the Museum's 100-foot flag pole on the waterfront; turn right onto Burnside Street.
