The Herreshoff Classic Regatta is an annual event drawing hundreds of participants from around the world. Classic and Herreshoff boat owners gather for a weekend of challenging races and social events. The weekend includes the race for the prestigious Bill Swan Memorial Trophy, the Livingston’s Wind Hill Trophy for Herreshoff 12 1/2s, and a traditional New England Clambake on the waterfront.

Classic (pre-1970)
Spirit of Tradition (1970 and later)
S Class
12 1/2 (wood or fiberglass including CCSB H12, Bullseye, and Doughdish)
Six Metre
Twelve Metre
Sea Sprite 23
Cat Boat
Any classic yacht that wishes to be a part of the weekend is welcome to participate. A four-boat minimum is required to form a racing class.
This year's regatta will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the launching of JB and NG Herreshoff's SPRITE - we welcome all catboat sailors to join in the festivities!
Event participants may register for the regatta, purchase boxed lunches, register for attendance at Friday’s welcome barbecue presented by Herreshoff Designs, or register for Saturday’s clambake online. You need not be a member to register, and do not need to participate in racing to order lunches or register for the clambake.
You may also sign up for a place on one of our classic spectator boats, and enjoy a VIP lunch while viewing Saturday's racing.

We encourage you to pre-order your t-shirts and hats for the event, and have them waiting for you upon check-in!
PLEASE NOTE: registrants desiring moorings at the Museum must make mooring reservations, and space is limited, so please reserve early. All reservations and sales are final; no refunds will be provided.
